Ergonomics are an important consideration in the design process for Festool power
tools. Rotex sanders are developed operate with minimal noise levels, have virtually
no vibration effects, and to be ambidextrous.
Virtually no vibration.
Have you ever walked away from a sanding project and felt like you had just gotten
done running a jack hammer all day? If so, you obviously weren't using a Festool
sander. Every sander has a custom-made counterweight to balance it perfectly, much
like your tires are baA AQ lanced on your vehicle. If counterweights were mass-produced,
the balance would not be optimal for each machine. This manufacturing process leads
to sanding that could be described as a Zen experience.
Low noise levels.
Your hearing is as important to us as it is to you. While you should always use
proper hearing protection, Rotex sanders are designed and tested to minimize operating
noise levels. Because many of our customers use their tools for on-site work, it's
important that they operate quietly and not disturb your clients.
Ambidextrous operation.
Whether you're right-handed or left-handed, the Rotex sanders will be comfortable
in your hand and all controls are at your fingertips. Controls are centrally located
on the top center of the machine for convenience. A rubberized material covers the
hand grip for added comfort.
